Walk to School Day 
Wednesday, May 4th


Spring is here and we are excited to join many other school districts in the State by walking to school this coming Wednesday, May 4, 2016.  We are very thankful to be announcing that the Mindess PTO will be facilitating this event! Please feel free to join the fun, and also spread the word!

The drop off time of 7:30 AM - 7:45 AM at Montenegro Square is the same as last year. The walk will begin at 7:45 AM with arrival to the Mindess by 8:00 allowing time for breakfast for those students who plan to eat at school.

  • School Choice Enrollment for 2016-2017 The Ashland Public Schools will accept a limited number of students under the School Choice Program for the 2016-2017 school year.  School Choice enrollment is limited to the following:  ten (10) seats in Grade 9, ten (10) seats in Grade 10, ten (10) seats in Grade 11 and ten (10) seats in Grade 12.  NO seats are available in Grades K-8.   • Superintendent’s Clarification of February 10, 2016 Email Update on Override On February 10, 2016 an email was sent from the Superintendent’s office to the school community which updated the community on a number of news items. This email included among other updates an update that the Board of Selectmen had voted to place an operational override ballot on the warrant for the May, 2016 Town Meeting. The email stated “[f]or more information on the Override please visit: http://yesforashland.org.” The email should also have stated, however, that the website referred to is a private website, that it is not a school district or Town of Ashland website, and that the website is not supported or endorsed by the Ashland Public Schools, the Superintendent, the Town of Ashland ...

  • Superintendent's FY17 Budget Approved by School Committee 3/9/16 The School Committee approved the FY '17 budget which does not include cuts, but is dependent upon an override passing at Town Meeting in May.
