AHS Principal Elected to MSAA Board of Directors

The Massachusetts School Administrators’ Association (MSAA) and its Executive Director, Dr. Robert Baldwin is pleased to announce the election of Ms. Kelley St. Coeur,  Principal of Ashland High School to its Board of Directors.

The MSAA is one of the oldest, if not the oldest, statewide professional association of school administrators in the United States.  Since 1884 when it served only Secondary School leaders to today, when it encompasses all school leaders from PreK-Grade 12, this group serves to support school administrators.  MSAA is affiliated with the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) and the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP).

Through a constitutional change unanimously passed by its members, the MSAA reorganized its election process over the past year.  The Commonwealth of Massachusetts now elects two members from 9 regions across the state.  This 18 member Board of Directors is lead by President Dr. Stacy Monette of Charlton Middle School and Dr. Christopher Jones, Principal at Whitman Hanson High School.

As a professional organization, the MSAA is the preeminent association focused on Growing Courageous Leaders through their five focus areas of Membership, Advocacy, Professional Services, Student Activities, and Interscholastic Athletics.

Ms. St. Coeur has been the Principal at Ashland High School since 2014 and prior to that served as their Dean of Students.  Her experience as a special Education Teacher at Hopkinton High School and then as a Special Education Team Chairperson at Ashland High School provided a foundation that she is committed to all students.  The MSAA is excited for her expertise as she serves the Board and actively leads school administrators in Massachusetts.  Please join us, and the entire Massachusetts School Administrators’ Association membership in congratulating Ms. St. Coeur.
