Registration Policies 

Enrollment is on a first-come first-served basis. You must be pre-registered through Ashland Community Education for all classes. Participants are enrolled once the registration and payment have been received.

Participants will receive an email if they are enrolled in a class.

Non-Resident Fee

Non-Ashland residents are welcome. 

Pay By Mail

Send your completed form and a check made out to: Ashland Community Education, 87 W. Union St., Ashland, MA 01721.  Please send separate forms and checks for adult and children’s classes.  Please note: we keep checks until it has been determined there is sufficient enrollment to hold a class. 

Pay In Person

Bring your form and payment to our office at the Middle School, 87 W. Union Street, Central Administrative Offices entrance.   If our office is closed, please leave your registration and payment under our door.

Refund Policy

There will be no refunds unless a class is over-enrolled or cancelled.  Ashland Community Education reserves the right to cancel any course with insufficient enrollment and refund tuition in full.  A decision on class cancellation will be made 3 or 4 days before the start date.  There will be no refunds or credit for classes not attended.

Returned Checks

Checks which are returned by the bank for insufficient funds will be subject to a $25 fee.

Senior Citizen Discount

Seniors age 60 or older are eligible for a 15% discount.  Simply subtract 15% from the registration fee when you mail in your check.  Materials fees and out of town fees cannot be discounted.  Not all classes are eligible for a discount. Check each class listing.

Course Locations

Dismissal of Elementary Children

Children going directly from the Warren School to a Community Education class being held in their building immediately after school should have a note each time, permitting them to be released to the instructor.  Mindess School students may take the late bus home or be picked up at 3:30.   Children must be picked up promptly at the end of class.  There is no late bus on Fridays.  Check with your child’s school on their late bus schedule and bus stops.

School Cancellation/School Vacations

Classes are generally not held if the Ashland Public Schools are closed due to holidays, school vacation weeks, or the weather unless stated otherwise.  If the weather worsens during the day on a day school was held, tune into Channels 4, 5 or 7 or call our office at 508 881-0143  to see if  your class will be held.
