• COVID-19: WHAT WE’RE DOING

For the 2022-2023 school year, we hope there will be less disruption so that our students can re-engage with the full educational opportunities that Ashland Public Schools offers. However, we must continue to mitigate the risks to our vulnerable community members. As we have been accustomed to, this guidance may shift throughout the school year.

MASKS

  • There is no statewide requirement for masking in schools, apart from in school health offices, and the Commonwealth is not recommending universal mask requirements.

Unvaccinated or immune-compromised individuals or those living with someone immune-compromised are encouraged to continue wearing masks in indoor public settings. All staff and students will be supported through their decision to wear or not wear masks.

As always, any individual who wishes to continue to mask, including those who face higher risk from COVID-19, will be supported in that choice.
