• Site Councils

Site Councils are a representative, school building-based committee established in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 71, Section 59C. They provide an exciting opportunity for teachers, students, parents and community members to join together to support the school principal by adopting educational goals aligned with local and statewide policies, identifying students' educational needs, reviewing the school budget and assisting in developing the school improvement plan. Each member brings a different and mutually complementary perspective on school improvement goals and plans. School site council members don't just represent their own interests; they have an obligation to make decisions that will best serve the whole school community.

Each school's site council information, including its members and meeting schedule, is listed below. While only elected Site Council members are voting members, these meetings are open to the public, with agendas posted on the town website at least 48 hours before each meeting.
