Aside from the 12 state-mandated holidays, the district observes and closes for the following holidays, provided they land on a weekday:
- Diwali
- Eid al-Fitr
- Good Friday
- Rosh Hashanah
- Yom Kippur

Family Reconnect Weekends
During Family Reconnect Weekends, there will be no school-related activities throughout the weekend. Teachers should not assign homework over the Family Reconnect Weekend nor expect students to take a major assessment immediately upon returning from a Family Reconnect Weekend.
For the 2025-2026 school year, the following dates have been designated as Family Reconnect Weekends:
- October 11-13
- April 3-5
